Salah satu komitmen Kerajaan sebagai langkah penyediaan intervensi awal kepada kanak-kanak OKU melalui Pertubuhan Sukarela Kebajikan ialah dengan penubuhan TASKA OKU seperti berikut:
- TASKA OKU Down Sindrom - TASKA ANISD ini dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Sindrom Down Malaysia, telah dibuka di Presint 11, Putrajaya dan mula beroperasi pada 1 Julai 2013.
- TASKA Mesra Cheshire (Fizikal) - Dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Rumah Amal Sabah (Sabah Cheshire Home), telah dibuka di Likas, Sabah dan mula beroperasi pada 11 November 2013.
- TASKA OKU Mesra Cheshire Sandakan (Fizikal) - Dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Rumah dan Perkhidmatan Cheshire Sabah di Sandakan.
- TASKA OKU Semangat Maju (Pembelajaran) - TASKA Semangat Maju Ipoh dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Untuk Insan Bermasalah Intelek Perak, telah dibuka di Kampung Tawas, Ipoh dan mula beroperasi pada 6 Januari 2014.
- TASKA OKU Autisme (Autisme) - TASKA Autism dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Autisme Sibu, telah dibuka di Sibu, Sarawak dan mula beroperasi pada 2 Januari 2014.
- TASKA OKU Istika Jaya (Pendengaran) - TASKA Istika Jaya dikendalikan oleh Persekutuan Orang Pekak Malaysia, telah dibuka di Bandar Puchong Jaya dan mula beroperasi pada 6 Januari 2014.
- TASKA OKU St. Nicholas (Penglihatan) - TASKA St. Nicholas dikendalikan oleh St. Nicholas' Home, Pulau Pinang dan mula beroperasi pada 6 Januari 2014.
- TASKA Istimewa OKU (Pembelajaran) - Dikendalikan oleh Rumah Amal Kulim, Kedah di Kulim, Kedah.
- TASKA OKU Orkid (Pembelajaran) - Dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Taska Negeri Selangor di Shah Alam, Selangor.
- TASKA OKU Ikhlas (Terbuka kepada semua kategori) - Dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Insan Berkeperluan Khas di Melaka.
- TASKA OKU Auliya (Down Sindrom) - Dikendalikan oleh Pertubuhan Cakna OKU, Kelantan di Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
- TASKA OKU Aulad (Pembelajaran) - Dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Intervensi Awal dan Pendidikan Sindrom Down, Kota Bharu di Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
- TASKA OKU PSDKK (Sindrom Down) - Dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Sindrom Down Kota Kinabalu, Sabah di Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
- Warganegara Malaysia.
- OKU berdaftar dengan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat.
- Berumur 4 tahun dan ke bawah.
Ibu bapa atau penjaga boleh membuat permohonan kemasukan dengan menghubungi Pertubuhan Sukarela Kebajikan berkaitan.
Pusat Kehidupan Berdikari atau Independent Living Centre (ILC) merupakan pusat yang menawarkan perkhidmatan asas untuk memperkasakan OKU. Selain memberi tumpuan kepada aspek penentuan matlamat kendiri, kemahiran Independent Living (IL) diberikan agar OKU lebih bersedia untuk memulakan kehidupan berdikari. OKU juga mempunyai tanggungjawab sepenuhnya ke atas diri sendiri dan diberi penghormatan sebagai individu dalam masyarakat.
ILC terbuka kepada semua OKU terutama yang tinggal berhampiran dan dalam kalangan OKU yang mengalami kecacatan / kurang upaya tahap teruk (severe impairment). Pusat ini juga mensasarkan OKU yang ingin memulakan kehidupan secara berdikari, yang telah lama berada dalam sesebuah institusi atau di bawah jagaan ahli keluarga.
ILC ditubuhkan selaras dengan RMK-11 (2016-2020) di mana penubuhan 7 buah ILC dinyatakan di bawah Strategi B6, Memperkasa Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU). Sehingga akhir tahun 2020, sebanyak tujuh (7) buah ILC dapat ditubuhkan di mana dua (2) buah ILC telah beroperasi pada 2019 dan lima (5) buah ILC lagi ditubuhkan pada September 2020.

Kaunseling Rakan Sebaya (Peer Counseling)
Di setiap ILC perlu menyediakan perkhidmatan Kaunseling Rakan Sebaya (KRS) diketuai OKU. -
Program Hidup Berdikari (Independent Living Programme)
Program ini perlu dijalankan oleh Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya (PRS) yang mempunyai pengalaman di dalam menempuhi liku-liku kehidupan untuk menyokong dan memberi semangat kepada OKU lain untuk terus hidup berdikari. -
Pembantu Peribadi (Personal Assistant)
Perkhidmatan Pembantu Peribadi (PA) merupakan perkhidmatan yang penting untuk mendorong dan menyokong kehidupan berdikari bagi OKU yang mengalami kecacatan yang teruk. PA menjalankan tugas untuk membantu OKU ini mengurus diri seperti membuang air, mandi, memakai pakaian, mengemas rumah, membeli belah, menjaga anak, dan membantu mewujudkan jaringan sosial seperti membawa mereka menziarahi kaum keluarga, jiran-jiran dan sebagainya. -
Perkhidmatan Sokongan, Informasi Dan Advokasi
ILC juga adalah pusat di mana OKU boleh mendapatkan maklumat mengenai perkhidmatan bantuan, pekerjaan, akta dan dasar-dasar kerajaan yang berkaitan dengan OKU serta khidmat nasihat untuk berurusan dengan agensi kerajaan.
Enam (6) buah ILC dijalankan dengan kerjasama PSK iaitu: (lokasi)
ILC@PLPP di Bangi dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Hidup Berdikari Untuk Orang Kurang Upaya Malaysia.
- ILC MILAD di Petaling Jaya dikendalikan oleh Pertubuhan Malaysian Independent Living Association For Disabled (MILAD).
- ILC Rawang di Rawang, Selangor dikendalikan oleh Pertubuhan Independent Living & Training Centre (ILTC), Selangor.
- ILC Cheshire Sabah di Kota Kinabalu dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Rumah Dan Perkhidmatan Cheshire, Sabah.
- ILC SSCIA di Sibu dikendalikan oleh Pertubuhan Sibu Spinal Cord Injury Association, Sarawak.
- ILC PERMAI di Sintok dikendalikan oleh Pertubuhan Mahasiswa Istimewa (PERMAI), UUM, Kedah.
Pusat Khidmat Setempat (PKS) Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU) dibina di bawah Rancangan Malaysia Kesembilan (RMK-9) dan Rancangan Malaysia Kesepuluh (RMK-10) bertujuan untuk menyediakan perkhidmatan kepada OKU di dalam satu tempat secara bersepadu. Ia berfungsi sebagai Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK), Pusat Rujukan OKU, Pusat Sumber Maklumat, Pusat Pengesanan Awal Kecacatan, Pusat Khidmat Nasihat dan Pusat Pendaftaran OKU. Penubuhan PKS adalah satu inisiatif untuk meningkatkan perkhidmatan kepada kumpulan sasar khususnya OKU.
Teras perkhidmatan yang ditawarkan kepada OKU di PKS adalah seperti berikut:
- Pemulihan;
- Kesihatan;
- Pendidikan / Latihan;
- Ekonomi / Pekerjaan; dan
- Perkhidmatan Sokongan.
